Did you know our characters are made from magazine pages?

We all have our vices & mine was buying magazines. I love them.

I love the design ones, cooking ones, fashion, fitness and yes,

I will admit…my favorite - celebrity gossip rags.

This addiction left me with piles of old magazines and a guilty feeling

for all the trees that fell for my hour or less of entertainment. I knew

there was something else I could do with those colorful pages

and so Rip Your Art Out was born.

I started ripping out pages of color and texture and collaging them

into different shapes, bringing to life the characters that now are used

on t-shirts, cards, burp cloths, custom framed art and cloth books.

Fast forward a few years and my sister who is the best at finding

treasures in thrift stores got involved. She started Upcycling the

pieces she found with the Rip Your Art Out characters bringing

a whole new adorable vibe to Rip Your Art Out.

So where others may look at a page in a garden magazine & simply see

grass, my sister & I may see the next dinosaur for Rip Your Art Out.
